Literature # 9PIP207

T7 RNA Polymerase is a DNA-dependent phage RNA polymerase that exhibits extremely high specificity for its cognate promoter sequence. T7 RNA Polymerase does not recognize SP6 or T3 RNA Polymerase promoter sequences as a start site for transcription. T7 RNA Polymerase is available in Promega's RiboMAX™ and Riboprobe® Systems. Applications of  the T7 RNA Polymerase include the synthesis of RNA transcripts for hybridization probes, large amounts of nonlabeled RNA and in vitro synthesis of capped RNA transcripts.
