The Maxwell® HT Fecal Microbiome DNA Kit brings the same reagent chemistry used in the benchtop Maxwell® RSC instrument and makes it available at scale for use on high-throughput robotic systems.

The unique inhibitor removal chemistry used in the Maxwell® Systems enables simple automated hands-free DNA purification.

NGS-Ready Microbiome DNA Extraction

The example data below show the results of 16S V3/V4 metagenomic sequencing analysis for a microbial community standard and fecal samples purified with the Maxwell® RSC Fecal Microbiome DNA Kit with optional bead-beating. Experimental details are provided in the Application Note, Automated Extraction of Fecal DNA with a Bead-Beating Step. 
Sequencing results from DNA purified with Maxwell chemistry.
Sequencing results for the species-level bacterial profile of DNA purified from the microbial community standard as compared to the theoretical composition accounting for 16S copy number.
Sequencing results from DNA purified from stool samples using Maxwell chemistry.
Sequencing results for the genus-level bacterial profile of DNA purified from triplicate stool samples from two individuals. Sequencing data was analyzed using an internal analysis pipeline running the Mothur2 open-source software package.
