At the end of 2019 the Promega GmbH moved from Mannheim to Walldorf. Since then all employees are joined in the same building. In order to utilize that there are many ways to communicate and connect within the building. Whether you meet in the cafeteria, while doing yoga or fitness or in one of the many coffee corners, which are on every floor – there are numerous opportunities.

After your digital application is submitted through our softgarden tool, the process will usually run through the following steps. Please note that some steps may be omitted or added, depending on the position and applicant situation.
If your profile matches the job being advertised, we will invite you to take part in an initial telephone interview. This will involve our HR department contacting you to ask some initial questions about your application and the framework data.
If you have impressed us during the telephone interview, we will invite you to a first interview with the department management and/or your future colleagues.
Depending on the task area, we will have given you a task at your previous interview, which you must present to us now. Together with you, we will then discuss your experiences with this task.
If we have impressed you, and you us, we will discuss the content of your contract with you. Once signed, we will put together an induction program for you, lasting several weeks.
We ask for your understanding if, during the course of the process, you receive notification that we have rejected your application. Please be assured that we check every application equally thoroughly before we make any decisions.
Of course you will be given good training. At Promega, we are of the opinion that good onboarding of new employees is fundamental to the success of the entire team. That's why our induction process is ISO-certified and continuously optimized. Your colleagues from the specialist departments will remain at your disposal for several weeks to answer all your questions. And yet we also make sure that you are involved in the ongoing processes of your department right from day one. We attach particular importance to giving all employees a closer understanding of other business units, and, if you wish, we would be happy for you to spend a few hours working in a different business unit.
We will naturally provide you as an employee with all the equipment required for your task. Depending on the workplace, our equipment might include a notebook, flat-screen monitors, safety clothing, stationary and much more. Healthy working is very important to us, and we use modern concepts of office and workplace design. Depending on the task, you will also be given a company cell phone and a company car.
At Promega, we support trust-based working hours. This means that you and your department can agree on how you will divide up your weekly working hours. Within the scope of the core working hours, you can decide what time you wish to start at in the mornings and what time you will finish at in the evenings.
There is a possibility to work from home.
Promega is open to a variety of part time models. Whether you wish to work 50%, 70% or just on specific days, you are welcome to discuss this with us during the application process. Our job advertisements also provide information about possible working time options for the respective position.
