The Apo-ONE® Homogeneous Caspase-3/7 Assay provides the necessary reagents for fast and sensitive measurement of caspase-3 and -7 activities. These members of the cysteine aspartic acid-specific protease (caspase) family play key effector roles in apoptosis in mammalian cells. The Apo-ONE® Homogeneous Caspase-3/7 Assay provides a profluorescent substrate with an optimized bifunctional cell lysis/activity buffer for caspase-3/7 (DEVDase) activity assays. This assay system may be used with purified enzyme preparations, cell extracts or cultures of adherent, suspension or primary cells. This assay can be flexibly configured for use in high-throughput systems. The assay is easily adaptable for 96-well and 384-well formats.
