High-Throughput Plasmid Purification with Large-Volume Bacterial Cultures on the Hamilton STAR Liquid Handler
Abstract
Automated plasmid DNA extraction from up to 25ml of bacterial culture using a modified version of the Wizard MagneSil Tfx™ System protocol on the Hamilton STAR liquid handler.
The procedure is a modification of the protocol in the Wizard MagneSil Tfx™ System Technical Bulletin #TB314 adapted for automation on the Hamilton STAR Liquid Handler in a 24-well plate format. Once the resuspended bacterial pellet is placed on the liquid handler deck, the remainder of the process is fully automated.
