NanoLuc® Platform Technologies – Innovative Cell-Based Assays & Tools for Studying Protein Biology & Cellular Responses
- Protein Reporter Assays
- Protein:Protein Interaction
- Immunoassays
- Cell Viability & Apoptosis
Summary
The webinar offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about new assays and tools developed from the NanoLuc® Luciferase. The NanoLuc® Luciferase is a bioluminescent reporter protein that helps scientists to answer biological questions in several research areas. In addition, this small and signal-intense luciferase served as starting point for the development of versatile protein reporter systems – the so called NanoBiT® and HiBiT Protein Tagging System. The NanoBiT® System allows the development of assays suitable for monitoring the dynamics of protein:protein interactions and the fast and homogenous quantification of proteins in ELISA-like immunoassays. The HiBiT Protein Tagging System enables the quantification of cellular changes in protein concentration, even at low-endogenous expression levels, and is therefore used mainly for research on signal transduction and protein degradation.

Dr. Thomas Klünner
Senior Consultant Training
Promega GmbH
Thomas Klünner studied Biology at the Freie-Universität-Berlin. During that time he did his first publication describing the expression pattern of a LPS-binding protein from immune competent cells in insects after bacterial infections. From 1996 to 1999 he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Reinhard Burger at the Robert-Koch-Institut in Berlin. There he received his Ph.D. with a study about reactions of T-cells and T-cell subpopulations in guinea pigs after vaccination with Bacillus Calmette-Guerain. Since March 2000 Dr. Klünner works for the Promega GmbH in different roles. Actual he is a Senior Consultant for the training of customers and colleagues about the features and benefits of Promega latest technologies.
