Thanks for stopping by to learn more about our redesigned, more sustainable packaging
Certified as Sustainable
Turn the kit box over and you will find new sustainability logos. As always, all of our paper packaging is recyclable. Now Promega uses Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Chain of Custody level certified fiber in our printed package material. The SFI label indicates a commitment to tracking fiber from forest content to end product using a third-party internationally recognized sustainability standard. In addition, the ink, coating and glue are sourced from renewable products containing no controversial materials.
Our new packaging is part of our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts that benefit our planet, people, communities and products.
Not only have we redesigned our packaging to be more sustainable, but the packaging redesign won a Sustainable Packaging Award from the 2019 American Package Design Awards.
While our packaging materials are more sustainable, we still wanted to use less paper. By streamlining our labeling system to deliver information more efficiently, only one label is needed on the package instead of two. We reengineered the box to be more efficiently designed, including implementing an auto-bottom configuration, meaning we can use less paperboard, ink and adhesive. Plus, the boxes will weigh less to reduce carbon emissions from shipping.
Out with the Old, in with the New...Eventually
Our goal is to transition to our new packaging as sustainably as possible. Therefore, we will first use up the stock of any existing Promega packaging for each product line before switching to our new packaging design. During this changeover, you may receive a shipment with products in both our former and new packaging.
Same Great Products and Service
Our packaging is new, but you will still find the same outstanding Promega products inside, backed by our friendly and knowledgeable global support team. As always, they are happy to answer questions.
