Taq DNA聚合酶是Thermus aquaticus DNA Polymerase的克隆重组体，为94kDa的耐热的DNA聚合酶，与天然的Taq DNA聚合酶有相同的功能。 该酶反应需Mg2+参与，以双链DNA为模板催化核苷酸从5′向3′末端形成双链DNA。该酶同时具有5′→3′核酸外切酶的活性，主要用于DNA的PCR扩增、DNA测序，可以很好地扩增1kb以下的DNA片段。
M1661S、M1665S、M166CS包括10×反应缓冲液和25mM MgCl2各一管。
M2661S、M2665S包括10×反应缓冲液（含15mM MgCl2）。
活性单位定义：
在74℃条件下，30分钟内，能够吸收10mmol dNTP，形成酸性不溶性物质所需的酶量为1u。
储存缓冲液B：
50%甘油，20mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0, 25℃)，100mM KCl，0.1mM EDTA，1mM DTT，0.5% Tween® 20和0.5% NP-40。
配套试剂：
1. 10×反应缓冲液（不含MgCl2）：包含500mM KCl，100mM Tris-HCl (pH 9.0, 25℃)， 1% Triton® X-100建议该缓冲液加入每种dNTP的最适浓度为0.2mM。
2. 10×反应缓冲液（含MgCl2）：包含15mM MgCl2，500mM KCl，100mM Tris-HCl (pH 9.0, 25℃)， 1% Triton® X-100建议该缓冲液加入每种dNTP的最适浓度为0.2mM。注：反复冻融可能会引起氯化镁沉淀，将缓冲液加热并充分振荡恢复溶液的均一性。
3. 25mM MgCl2：Mg2+在反应混合物中的最终浓度由使用者根据自己需要决定。建议使用浓度在1–4mM。注：使用前应完全融解MgCl2溶液并充分振荡几分钟。
