Recombinant human JAK3 (amino acids 781–end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. JAK3 is a member of the JAK family of tyrosine kinases involved in cytokine receptor-mediated intracellular signal transduction. Low levels of JAK3 expression is detected in immature hematopoietic cells, which dramatically increases during terminal differentiation of these cells, suggesting a role of JAK3 in the differentiation of hematopoietic cells.
