GeneMapper® ID Software Panels & Bin Sets

Panels and bin set files provide information about the loci within a kit. The panel file contains the listing of loci, while the bin file provides the expected location for alleles within a locus. Panels and bin files are text (.txt extension) files that are imported into Applied Biosystem's GeneMapper® ID software application.  To import panels and bin files in the form of text files, follow the instructions in the GeneMapper® ID Software Human Identification Analysis Tutorial available from Applied Biosystems.  GeneMapper® ID Software currently operates only on Windows® NT and Windows® 2000 operating systems.
