Panels and bin set files provide information regarding the set loci within a kit. The panel contains the listing of loci while the bin file provides the expected location for alleles within a locus. Panels and bin set files are text (.txt extension) files that are imported into Applied Biosystem's GeneMapper ID software application.  To import panels and bin sets in the form of text files follow the instructions on the GeneMapper ID Software Human Identification Analysis Tutorial available from Applied Biosystems.  GeneMapper ID Software currently operates only on Windows^® NT and Windows 2000 operating systems.
