What source of [35S]-methionine is suggested for use with in vitro protein expression applications?

Previously, we suggested using the Redivue™ L-[35S]methionine (Cat.# AG1094) from GE Healthcare (formerly Amersham Biosciences) for radioactive labeling in our in vitro translation literature. Since this product was discontinued, we recommend using the Perkin Elmer/NEN EasyTag™ L-[35S]-Methionine, 1mCi (37MBq), Stabilized Aqueous Solution (Cat.# NEG709A) for the following in vitro transcription/translation cell-free expression systems:
• TNT® Coupled Reticulocyte Lysate Systems (Cat.# L4600, L4601, L4610, L4950, L5010, L5020)
• TNT® Quick Coupled Transcription/Translation System (Cat.# L1170, L1171, L2080, L2081)
• TNT® SP6 High-Yield Protein Expression System (Cat.# L3260, L3261)
• TNT® T7 Quick for PCR DNA (Cat.# L5540)
• TNT® Coupled Wheat Germ Extract System (Cat.# L4120, L4130, L4140, L5030, L5040)
• Wheat Germ Extract Plus (Cat.# L3250, L3251)
• T7 Sample System (Cat.# L5900)
