The Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade, is a mixture of Trypsin Gold, Mass Spectrometry Grade, and rLys-C, Mass Spec Grade. Proteolysis with Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade, is specific and generates tryptic peptides (i.e., peptides with C-terminal arginine and lysine residues).
Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade, addresses several known limitations of trypsin digestion, which include incomplete cleavage of arginine and lysine sites and enzymatic inhibition under denaturing conditions needed to digest tightly folded proteins. Using the Trypsin/Lys-C Mix overcomes these limitations for in-solution digestion of proteins and protein mixtures under both nondenaturing and denaturing conditions.
