The Gilson PIPETMAX® 268 is the latest liquid handler from Gilson; the first in its line. It represents a fusion between Gilson’s robust liquid handling automation and the legendary Gilson PIPETMAN. PIPETMAX® is the next logical step up from a manual pipette; its design makes automation accessible for any laboratory. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of this small, inexpensive automated pipetting platform, Gilson teamed up with Promega to evaluate the PIPETMAX® for a cell-based mechanistic toxicity profiling application. The PIPETMAX® 268 was used to dispense the cells, compounds and reagents necessary to conduct the following assays in 384-well format: CellTiter-Glo® Luminescent Cell Viability Assay, MultiTox-Fluor Multiplex Cytotoxicity Assay, Caspase-Glo® 3/7 Assay and CellTox™ Green Cytotoxicity Assay.
