This class is a one-day overview of the Molecular Biology basics. Hands-on experience in the laboratory reinforces knowledge gained in lecture and discussion. Course topics include:

  Structure and function of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA)

Molecular Biology Techniques

  Nucleic acid extraction and analysis methods

  Amplification (PCR and real-time PCR)
