Seminar: New cell-based assays for real-time measurements & energy metabolism

This seminar will provide an overview of the newest detection methods for cell viability, cytotoxicity and apoptosis. Our real-time assays allow you to generate more information about the mode of action of a treatment with regard to time and dose dependence. The trend of switching from 2D cell culture systems to 3D tissue cultures represents a further challenge for a suitable assay reagent, therefore it will be also be addressed during the seminar.
Bioluminescent assays for the detection of key energy metabolites (glucose, lactate, glutamine and glutamate) provide a highly sensitive and easy-to-use method to identify pharmacology targets. In this context, we will also cover assays for the determination of oxidative stress and nicotine amide adenine dinucleotide metabolism.
