Efficient, Accurate Size Selection

The ProNex® Size-Selective Purification System enables the rapid and efficient magnetic resin-based purification of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) for next-generation sequencing (NGS), polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and general molecular biology applications. The ProNex® System allows users to select the desired size of purified dsDNA fragments, from 100bp to 750bp. The novel reagent formulation provides significantly improved selectivity, reproducibility and yield relative to traditional dsDNA purification methods. In addition, the ProNex® System can be used in both manual and automated high-throughput workflows.

Control Your DNA Size

By adding varying ratios of ProNex® Size Selection Chemistry to your sample, you can control what size DNA is retained or eliminated. This enables NGS library and PCR fragment cleanup, as well as dual size selection of libraries.

Elimination of both small and large fragments outside the desired range is critical to avoid wasting money on unusable reads. The ProNex® Size Selective Purification System not only removes more low-and high-molecular weight DNA than existing methods, but also retains more of the target fragment sizes you really want.

E. coli libraries were created using the NEBNext® Ultra™ II DNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina®, using starting input values of 1,000ng, 100ng, 10ng and 1ng. Libraries were size selected with either AMPure® XP beads or the ProNex® Size-Selective Purification System. Libraries were centered at 300 bp, using recommended library kit manufacturer’s recommendations for size selection with AMPure® XP beads and Promega’s guidelines for the ProNex® Size-Selective Purification System. Post-PCR libraries are shown. Libraries generated using the ProNex® System significantly reduced high-molecular weight DNA carryover and produced tighter size distribution.
