Murine 2.5S Nerve Growth Factor (2.5S mNGF) mediates phosphorylation of specific intracellular proteins. Target cells of this molecule include sympathetic and sensory neurons and derivatives of nerve cells such as adrenal medulla pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells. 2.5S mNGF is a 26kDa protein composed of two identical 118 amino acid chains. Murine 2.5S Nerve Growth Factor is purified from male mouse submaxillary glands by the method of Bocchini and Angeletii.

Activity: 2.5S mNGF exhibits an ED50 value below 2ng/ml using a PC-12 serum-free survival assay.
