Promega UK Young Life Scientist Awards
The new look Promega UK Young Life Scientist Awards for 2009
were successfully launched at the Young Life Scientists’
Symposium at the Bristol Council House on Thursday 14th
May 2009.
Combining our new-look awards with the YLS Committee’s Young
Life Scientist Symposium we were able to create a platform for
our Young Life Scientist Finalists, to showcase their research
in front of their peers, industry professionals and academic
professionals.

150 initial entrants, and were overwhelmed by the standard of
their research, presentation skills, knowledge and competency
within their chosen fields.
Promega would like to announce the placed winners on the day and

Promega’s Young Life Scientist Awards have been running
for over ten years with a format that previously contained three
separate events: Young Immunologist, Young Biochemist, and
Young Geneticist of the Year. The changes we have made this
year give us the opportunity to offer a greater prize fund and
to increase the scope for entrants from across the entire life
science research community. For details of recent winners
