Immunostaining of Rat Neural Progenitor Cells With the Anti-GFAP pAb

Fix cells for 10 minutes with 4% paraformaldehyde.
Wash 3 times with PBS.
Permeabilize with 0.2% Triton^® X-100 (in PBS) for 10 minutes.
Wash 3 times with PBS.
Block for 60 minutes in 3% goat serum (in PBS).
Incubate for 60 minutes in Anti-GFAP pAb diluted to 1.0μg/ml in 0.3% goat serum in PBS.
Wash 3 times with PBS.
Incubate with the donkey anti-rabbit Cy3™ conjugated secondary antibody (Jackson ImmunoResearch) diluted 1:750 in PBS.
Wash 3 times with PBS.
Mount in Vectashield + DAPI (Vector Labs).
