Anti-pT183 MAPK pAb (Cat.# V8081) is a polyclonal antibody purified from
rabbit serum. The antibody is affinity-purified using a monophosphorylated peptide corresponding to a
monophospho-threonine form of MAP kinase enzymes 1 and 2.
- Specificity: Detects the monophosphorylated threonine residue 183 of ERK1 and
ERK2.
- Immunogen: Peptide sequence corresponding to the monophosphorylated form of ERK1
and ERK2 enzymes phosphorylated on the threonine 183 residue.
- Antibody Form: Affinity-purified Rabbit IgG; supplied in PBS (pH 7.4).
- Value: When used at the recommended 1:4,000 dilution, generates up to 200ml of
blotting solution, sufficient for 20 Western blots of 10ml each.

Western Blotting
Protocol:
- Recommended blotting method is provided on the Promega Product
Information Sheet (.pdf, 149kb) which accompanies the antibody. The blotting method is essentially the same as that for
the Anti-ACTIVE® MAPK pAb in Technical Bulletin #TB262.

Cross-Reactivity Information
The cross-reactivity of this antibody should mimic the Anti-ACTIVE®
MAPK pAb as it uses the same amino acid sequence. The only difference is the
phosphorylation state of the peptide. The cross reactivity of the MAPK can be found here.
