Human glial cell-line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), a 30kDa homodimer, has been
shown to be a potent survival factor for a variety of neurons. The receptor complex for
GDNF has been elucidated, though members of the multicomponent receptor family continue to
grow. With applications in Western blotting, ELISA and immunostaining, Promega's
Anti-Human GDNF pAb (Cat.# G2791) is a useful tool to continue
the investigation of GDNF's role in multiple facets of neurological systems.
- Immunogen: Human recombinant GDNF.
- Antibody Form: Chicken IgY; 0.5mg/ml in 0.1M NaCl, 0.01M K2HPO4,
50μg/ml gentamicin.
- Specificity: Cross-reactive between mammalian species; does not
cross-react with TGFα, TGFβ1, NGF or BDNF at up to 10μg/ml.

used at 1:500 dilution; a rabbit anti-chicken IgY (1:160) conjugated to rhodamine was used
as the secondary antibody.
