The PowerPlex® S5 System (Cat.# DC6951) is now available. This system
provides all of the materials necessary for co-amplification of five loci
(four STR loci and Amelogenin), including D8S1179, D18S51, Amelogenin,
FGA and TH01. All five loci are amplified simultaneously in a single tube
and analyzed in a single injection. The PowerPlex® S5 System is
compatible with the ABI PRISM® 310, 3100 and 3100-Avant
and Applied Biosystems 3130 and 3130xl Genetic Analyzers.
The Differex™ Digestion Buffer
(Cat.# A8501) and
Separation Solution (Cat.# A8511)
are now available separately for the new Automated Differex™ methods for the Beckman
Coulter Biomek® 2000, Biomek® 3000 and Tecan
Freedom EVO® robotic platforms. These reagents are necessary
for customers to perform high-throughput automated extraction of sexual assault
samples in forensic casework. Protocols for automated Differex™ extraction
