Abstract for GloSensor™ cAMP Assay Technical Manual

Part# TM076
Printed in USA. Revised 8/09.
Instructions for Use of Products E1171, E1261, E1290 and E1291.

The GloSensor™ cAMP Assay uses a firefly luciferase-based biosensor to monitor changes in the intracellular cAMP concentration using a nonlytic, live-cell assay format. The response dynamics of the biosensor and ease of data acquisition provide advantages for measuring cAMP dynamics in living cells. The GloSensor™ cAMP Assay can be used to study the activity of G-protein coupled receptors that couple with endogenous adenylate cyclase to increase or decrease intracellular levels of cAMP.

The GloSensor™ cAMP HEK293 Cell Line allows the user to assay modulators of intracellular cAMP in cells stably expressing the biosensor. Alternatively, the pGloSensor™-20F cAMP Plasmid allows the user to transiently or stably express the biosensor in the cell line of interest.
