Abstract for SignaTECT® DNA-Dependent Protein Kinase Assay System
The SignaTECT® DNA-Dependent Protein Kinase (DNA-PK) Assay System
provides an improved method by which to quantitate DNA-dependent protein kinase activity,
both in purified enzyme preparations and in cell nuclear extracts. The SignaTECT®
System utilizes the unique SAM2® Biotin Capture Membrane, produced
by a proprietary process that results in a high density of streptavidin on the
membrane matrix.
SignaTECT® DNA-PK Assay System overcomes the problem
of nonspecific substrate binding by using a biotinylated DNA-PK p53-derived
peptide substrate in conjunction with the SAM2® Biotin
Capture Membrane. The high binding capacity of the SAM2® Biotin
Capture Membrane for the DNA-PK biotinylated peptide substrate and the low
backgrounds observed with this system maximize the signal-to-noise ratio. |
