The SignaTECT^® DNA-Dependent Protein Kinase (DNA-PK) Assay System provides an improved method to quantitate DNA-dependent protein kinase activity in both purified enzyme preparations and cell nuclear extracts. The SignaTECT^® System uses the unique SAM^2® Biotin Capture Membrane, produced by a proprietary process that results in a high density of streptavidin on the membrane matrix.

SignaTECT^® DNA-PK Assay System overcomes the problem of nonspecific substrate binding by using a biotinylated DNA-PK p53-derived peptide substrate in conjunction with the SAM^2® Biotin Capture Membrane. The high binding capacity of the SAM^2® Biotin Capture Membrane for the DNA-PK biotinylated peptide substrate and low backgrounds observed with this system maximize the signal-to-noise ratio.
