Andy joined Promega in May 2012 as a Technical Support and Training Manager with the European Genetic Identity team. Andy works with Promega distributors and customers to provide technical expertise to laboratories throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Andy has a Ph.D. in Applied Biochemistry awarded by the University of Nottingham and was offered a temporary role in the Research and Development department at the UK Forensic Science Service to work on the development of protocols for the analysis of “difficult samples”. Some 17 years later Andy joined the European team at Promega, bringing with him experience in many aspects of DNA processing, including the development and validation of core techniques together with automation and rapid DNA processes.
Andy’s leisure interests include fell walking, camping, cooking and spending time with his family. Sometimes all at the same time…
Stefan joined Promega in June 2012 as a Forensic Regional Account Manager. In this position Stefan is responsible for providing technical and sales support to laboratories and distributors in Western Europe and South Africa.
Stefan has a Bachelor of Science, Honours, degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. For the past 11 years he has worked in the forensic DNA laboratories at LGC in laboratory, supervisory and technical positions. His most recent position was as Senior Researcher for the forensic DNA R&D department. He is experienced in all phases of forensic DNA profiling and quality control, as well as in automation, project management and experimental design.
Outside of work, Stefan enjoys reading, traveling and motorsport.
Sara joined Promega in 2010 as an Inside Sales Specialist for the GloMax® product line. She joined the Genetic Identity team as a Forensic Regional Account Manager in May 2012. In this position Sara is responsible for providing sales support to laboratories in the Western Region (Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and Utah).
After graduating from the University of San Francisco with a BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry, Sara worked at Deltagen, Inc., a small mouse genomics company, as a Research Associate. She also worked at the Oregon State Police Forensic Laboratory as a Lab Technician, where she received and entered evidence, made reagents for the different disciplines and did quality control for the instrumentation. She also spent time at Kendall Jackson Wineries as a Laboratory Technician.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys working in her yard, being outdoors and skiing in the winter.
Lisa Misner joined Promega in March 2012 as a Technical Support and Training Specialist. She is responsible for customer training and support for Genetic Identity products and applications.
Lisa received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Michigan State University. Prior to joining Promega, she worked at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin, for 4 and a half years and the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner for 3 years as a forensic DNA analyst. During her nearly 8 years as a forensic scientist, Lisa was involved in screening and DNA typing forensic evidence, testifying, and developing and implementing a training program for new analysts.
When not at work, Lisa enjoys knitting, hiking, kayaking, camping and spending time with her husband, cat and dog.
