Jakub joined Promega in September of 2010 as a Forensic Regional Account Manager. In this position Jakub is responsible for providing technical and sales support to laboratories and distributors in Central and Eastern Europe.
Jakub received his Diploma in Biology from the University of Warsaw, where he was working with ancient DNA of extinct species. Before joining Promega he worked at the Department of Forensic Genetics at the Medical University of Warsaw for one year, followed by two years at the Institute of Genetics at Warsaw University and two years at the commercially oriented DNA sequencing lab in the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He was responsible for custom projects, fragment analysis and providing technical support for customers.
In his spare time Jakub enjoys jazz music, mountain bicycle and track cycling, nordic skiing in the winter and spending time with family and friends.
Saif recently joined Promega in the newly created position of Regional Technical Specialist for the Middle East region. Saif is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this position, he will work closely with Promega distributors and customers to offer dedicated support to laboratories throughout the Middle East.
Saif has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Biotechnology and most recently worked at Nafees & Masoud, the Promega distributor in the UAE, where he has built a strong network of contacts. His interests include the sciences in general (geology, biology and biotechnology) and new technologies. Outside of work, Saif enjoys playing basketball, football and water sports like jet skiing.
Ann joined the Genetic Identity team in January of 2011 as Marketing Manager. In this role, Ann will be responsible for developing, communicating and implementing strategic global marketing plans, identifying opportunities for Promega in the Genetic Identity field and working with the sales teams and branch offices. Initially, Ann also will fulfill product management responsibilities for several products, including the Maxwell® 16 Forensic Instrument and PowerPlex® Y, ESX and ESI Systems. Prior to joining the Genetic Identity team, Ann worked at Promega as the Customer Insights Manager, performing a variety of market research activities to help in new product development, customer satisfaction and campaign development.
Ann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management in 1997. Her professional background includes 20 years of marketing experience in the life sciences, including companies such as Pharmacia, Roche Diagnostics and Ambion/Applied Biosystems.
When not at work, Ann enjoys training for half marathons, cooking, reading suspense thrillers and spending time with her husband and son and their Golden Retriever.
