In this article we highlight some of the small-molecule screens performed by NIH Chemical Genomics Center (CGC) to investigate fundamental biological questions. The NIH CGC is one of the centers funded by the MLSCN initiative of 2004. CGC focuses on ultrahigh-throughput screens.
