Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Improved Proteolytic Efficiency for Enhanced Reproducible Results
Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade, is a mixture of Trypsin Gold, Mass Spectrometry Grade, and Lys-C, Mass Spec Grade. Trypsin/Lys-C Mix is recommended for use in two applications, enhanced standard in-solution protein digestion and in-solution digestion of proteolytically resistant proteins.

Using standard digestion conditions, Trypsin/Lys-C Mix misses fewer cleavage sites than Trypsin alone (Figure 1). This improved digestion increases peptide recovery and results in better protein quantitation (Figure 2) as well as improved reproducibility (Figure 3).

Tolerance for Trypsin-inhibiting Contaminants
Use the Trypsin/Lys-C Mix to generate mass spectrometry data from poor-quality sample material that contains reagents that inhibit trypsin activity (i.e., FFPE tissue and plant samples).
