PD 98059

PD 98059 (2´-amino-3´-methoxyflavone) is a potent, cell-permeable and selective inhibitor of MAPK/ERK kinase 1 (MAP kinase kinase 1 or MEK1). It blocks the activation of MEK1, therefore inhibiting the subsequent phosphorylation and activation of MAP kinase. IC₅₀ values are in the 1–20μM range. The chemical identity and purity of PD 98059 is confirmed by proton NMR and elemental analysis.
