Renowned Mycologist Paul Stamets Speaking in Madison - “How Mushrooms can Save the Earth”
MADISON, WISCONSIN (September 10, 2009)
Madison, WI – Mushrooms may be the key to sustainability
and healing the environment. Renowned mycologist Paul
Stamets will explain the incredible part that mushrooms and
their fibrous mycelium foundation can play in our future.
Specifically, Stamets will explain how the unique properties
of fungi, which can achieve the greatest mass of any living
organism, can replace chemical insecticides, break down
toxic waste, produce valuable antibiotics, filter water and
offer a new suite of remedies for enhancing sustainability.
Following the lecture, there will be book signing for
Stamet’s most recent book, Mycelium Running: How
Mushrooms Can Help Save the World.
