Calculators for Life Scientists Available on the Promega iPhone App

Calculating the melting point of oligos is one of the many capabilities of the BioMath Calculators now available on the updated Promega iPhone App.
A suite of popular molecular biology calculators is now
available for the iPhone™ and iPod® Touch. The Promega
iPhone App has been updated to include the
BioMath
Calculators, which provide an easy and convenient way to
generate melting temperature, molarity, dilution, DNA and
protein concentration, and other common DNA and protein
conversions. Previously available only on the Promega web
site, the transition of these calculator functions to the
iPhone brings additional portability and makes them ideally
suited for use by scientists at the bench.
This comprehensive range of calculator functions complements
the information already provided in earlier versions of the
Promega App. The new release (version 1.2) brings together
the protocols, reference materials, and product information
contained in the Protocols &
Applications Guide, and the
calculator functions used by life scientists on a daily
basis.
With the addition of these calculators, the content of the
Promega App continues to keep pace with the evolution of
information delivery in today’s world. Promega will continue
