Promega GoTaq® Goes Green with Latest Hot Start Offer
MADISON, WISCONSIN (March 05, 2009)
Promega Corporation, a global leader in DNA and RNA
Analysis, will plant a tree for each GoTaq® Hot Start product
purchased through May 31st. This green initiative is
designed to compliment the mission of life scientists around
the world - to improve the lives of others now and for
generations to come. The benefits of planting trees bring a
long lasting impact much like the work and discoveries of
scientists all around the world.
Appreciating the benefits of even one tree on cleaner air,
Promega wants to enable the planting of thousands of trees
around the world that will have a positive impact for
decades. With support of an international, nonprofit
environmental organization, scientists can make a difference
right now just with their work.
In addition to planting new trees, we are ensuring saving
existing ones by having all the communications for the GoTaq®
Go Green campaign being resource-sensitive and based on
electronic media rather than paper resources. Progress on number of trees planted can be
monitored at the "amplify trees" web site

The GoTaq® family of products is a proprietary formulation
of Taq DNA polymerase that gives enhanced amplification
compared to standard Taq DNA polymerase. The GoTaq® Green
Reaction Buffer allows users to load reactions directly onto
agarose gels for analysis with a tracking dye for increased
productivity and convenience, and contains PCR enhancers
that allow reliable amplification of difficult targets.
As the latest addition to the GoTaq offerings, GoTaq® Hot
Start Master Mix offer the specificity and sensitivity of an
antibody-based hot start polymerase in a convenient,
easy-to-use, time-saving format.
GoTaq® DNA Polymerase comes in a variety of formulations
designed to give users maximum flexibility, control and
convenience.
