The PromegaExpress™ on-site stocking program just added a newly sized ambient cabinet to its line of on-site appliances. This latest addition serves as great option to meet individual lab inventory requirements for smaller areas when space is at a premium but immediate access to life science tools is a necessity. The mid-sized cabinet can also be stacked with another PromegaExpress cabinet or freezer component.
The entire line (see photo) comprises the only on-site stocking appliance suite that comes equipped with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. With RFID, a user only needs an access card to open the door and take what’s needed. Everything from access to purchase is automatically recorded and the confirmation of the order is sent within minutes of the transaction.
Just as importantly, with RFID, scientists don’t have to worry about product being out of stock or out-of-date. RFID tracks inventory and expiration automatically and enables Promega to send replacements as needed.
