New Optimized Luciferase Reporter Cell Lines Deliver Turnkey GPCR Investigation

MADISON, WISCONSIN (May 17, 2007)

Promega now offers high performance GloResponse™ Luciferase Reporter Cell Lines. The GloResponse™
NFAT-RE-luc2P HEK293 Cell Line and CRE-luc2P HEK293 Cell Line provide optimized luciferase reporter response which means easy, turnkey implementation. These cell lines can provide superior response dynamics of over 100 induction in as few as 4 hours with the CRE cell line. This large assay window beats other reporter systems, and makes the cells amenable for high-throughput screening.

The GloResponse™ NFAT-RE-luc2P HEK293 Cell Line and CRE-luc2P HEK293 Cell Line are designed for rapid and convenient analysis of cell signaling through the nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) pathway or cAMP response pathways via activation of a luciferase reporter gene. The CRE and NFAT pathways can be modulated by the action of G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs), an important class of proteins for drug development.
