Recombinant screening is easier and faster with the new Promega siSTRIKE™ U6
Hairpin Cloning Systems (Human). The siSTRIKE vectors incorporate a
convenient restriction digestion strategy which allows scientists to screen
with a durable agarose gel rather than the tedious acrylamide gel. So, a
scientist spends less time and less sample checking that a DNA insert is
successful. The siSTRIKE U6 Hairpin Cloning Systems consist of linearized
plasmids for use in expression of siRNA target sequences in human cells.
These plasmids contain the human U6 promoter, which allows transcription of
the hairpin target sequences. The siSTRIKE vectors allow transient
suppression of the gene of interest and provide antibiotic marker options (hygromycin,
neomycin, puromycin). Antibiotic selection allows for selecting stably
transfected eukaryotic cells so that experimental results do not depend on
transfection efficiency.
The launch of the siSTRIKE U6 Hairpin Cloning Systems is a part of
Promega support to the evolving ddRNAi technologies. All siSTRIKE products
are licensed for commercial use in collaboration between Promega and Benitec,
Ltd. For more information on the siSTRIKE U6 Hairpin Cloning Systems and
