TransFastTM Transfection Reagent Update

TransFastTM Transfection Reagent is comprised of the synthetic cationic lipid, N,N [bis (2-hydroxyethyl)-N-methyl-N-[2,3-di(tetradecanoyloxy) propyl] ammonium iodide, and the neutral lipid, DOPE. The TransFastTM Reagent is supplied as a dried lipid film that forms multilamellar vesicles upon hydration with water. The experiments described in this article address some commonly asked questions about the protocol for use of this reagent.
