The rapid and efficient isolation of
nucleic acids from clinically relevant samples is a requirement for a variety of
molecular-based approaches to diagnostic analysis. This article demonstrates the use of
Promega technologies for isolating DNA from unfractionated human blood and buccal swabs.
The quality of the isolated nucleic acids is demonstrated by electrophoretic and
amplification-based methodologies.
