Technically Speaking: Wizard™ Plus DNA Purification Systems

Promega recently introduced the Wizard™
Plus program, starting with changes to the Wizard™ Minipreps DNA
Purification System and the Wizard™ Series 9600™ DNA
Purification System. These improvements have been implemented as the result of customer
feedback about the uses and limitations of the Wizard™ Systems for
various molecular biology applications. Specifically, we have reformulated the Column Wash
Solution so that these systems consistently provide DNA that is suitable for fluorescent
sequencing, developed alternative protocols for the purification of plasmid DNA from
endA
positive bacterial strains and added Syringe Barrels to the systems for greater
convenience. The Wizard™ Plus DNA Purification Systems retain
the positive features of the Wizard™ DNA Purification Systems, while
providing improved performance and convenience.
