Use of a 96 Well Format for Small Scale mRNA Isolation and cDNA Synthesis

The PolyATtract® Series 9600™ mRNA Isolation and cDNA Synthesis System
provides the necessary tools and reagents for the isolation of mRNA and preparation of
first strand cDNA from up to 96 samples in parallel. In this article, we use this system
to compare gene expression levels from different tissues and cell samples. Both rare and
ubiquitous mRNAs were easily detected by RT-PCR of the resultant cDNA. The results are
reproducible and linear with respect to mRNA concentrations.
