Increased Gene Expression in Mammalian Cell Lines using pAdVAntage™ DNA as a Co-Transfectant

Deb Groskreutz and Elaine Schenborn
Promega Corporation

Promega's pAdVAntage™ Vector carries the Adenovirus VAI RNA gene, a gene required for the efficient translation of cellular and viral genes in adensovirus-infected cells. When pAdVAntage™ DNA is co-transfected with luciferase constructs, an approximately 27-fold increase in luciferase expression is observed in 293 and HeLa cell lines over transfections performed with the construct DNA alone.
