Direct sequencing of PCR products with degenerate primers

Degenerate primers were used to amplify a Schizosaccharomyces pombe homolog of transcription elongation factor SII. This report describes the use of degenerate sequencing primers with the fmol^TM DNA Sequencing System for sequence verification of the PCR amplification products.
