In this study, the DeadEnd Colorimetric TUNEL System (Cat.#
G7130) was used to
identify apoptosis in mammalian retinas (5µm sections) following treatment with NMDA, an
apoptotic trigger. DNA fragmentation is a hallmark of apoptosis, and the DeadEnd
System uses TUNEL assay for the detection of DNA fragmentation in individual cells or
tissue sections. Immunostaining results are shown.
