Promega offers Emax® ImmunoAssay Systems for the
quantitation of BDNF, GDNF, NGF,
NT-3, TGFβ1 , and TGFβ2
in serum, cell culture supernatants, tissue extracts and other biological
fluids. To increase sensitivity and specificity, the Emax®
Systems use a two-antibody sandwich ELISA format in which the protein of interest is first
captured with a plate-immobilized specific antibody and detected by a second antibody that
recognizes a different epitope. When matched with data from Western and messenger RNA
analyses, ELISAs provide a researcher a more complete picture of specific protein
expression.
