Primer Pairs for Neurotrophic Factors & beta-Actin
Promega is pleased to offer four sets of oligonucleotide primers
for BDNF, CNTF, NGF and beta-Actin. Each Primer Pair includes 100µM each of 5'- and
3'-primers. These primer pairs complement our growing line of molecular reagents for
studies in neurobiology including neurotrophic and growth factors. All Primer Pairs are
designed for the easy generation of PCR products of discrete sizes by standard methods.
These oligonucleotides are tested with rat templates in reverse transcription and cycled
amplification using Promega’s Reverse Transcription System (Cat.#
A3500). Primer Pair
oligonucleotides are provided in separate tubes so that either primer may be used in
conjunction with an alternative, user-designed primer.
New ELISA for BDNF
The Emax® ImmunoAssay Systems continue to grow with the introduction of
an ELISA for BDNF
(Cat.# G7610, G7611).
This immunoassay is based on the sandwich-format ELISA and
use monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for coating 96 well plates and subsequent analyte
detection. The detect antibody in the BDNF EmaxTM
System is conjugated to horseradish peroxidase for color detection. We offer
this new system in two sizes: one set of reagents for 160
sample assays (including 32 control assays) and a second for 400 sample assays (including
80 control assays).
