Adding Products to Your Cart

You may place products of interest into a shopping cart for easy access later. Simply click "Add" from the product page. Adding a product to a cart does not commit you to buying it—the cart simply holds items you are considering. You can create as many carts as you think you'll need (see "Create Multiple Shopping Carts" below).

Create Multiple Shopping Carts

The first time you click "Add" from a product page, your default shopping cart is created. After that, you can save it and create one or more new carts for better management of your product choices. When might it be useful to have multiple carts?

  • When you are buying product for more than one party, perhaps with different billing/shipping information.
     
  • When you have product to purchase today, but also see product you might want to buy later and want to keep it easily accessible.
     
  • When you are purchasing product to be charged against different accounts (e.g., multiple grants), or perhaps have shipped on different dates.

We implemented the multiple-cart option as we are sure you will find many uses for this feature. For easier identification, you can give each of your carts a unique name and manage them through the My Carts function. All the carts you create are saved with your profile and are available for your use until you delete them, though prices on line items may change.

Using My Carts

You maintain your carts using the My Carts function, found in the left-hand navigation column under My Account. From the My Carts screen, you can delete carts or select a cart to place products into.
