As part of our development of quality assurance criteria for use with CODIS, thirty North American forensic laboratories provided us with their K562 sizing data (including casework, population studies, and proficiency testing). We here display all K562 sizing data at loci D1S7, D2S44, D4S139, D5S110, D10S28, and D17S79 for each of the thirty laboratories. The within-laboratory sizing reproducibilities are remarkably small and consistent, as is the among-laboratory sizing accuracy. There are only a few data of the many tens-of-thousands displayed that are not within the proposed CODIS tolerance regions. Data transcription or recognized experimental errors account for essentially all the rejected data.
