Aktivität bei 8 M Harnstoff
rLys-C ist die rekombinante in E. coli exprimierte Form des Lys-C. Die Sequenz stammt ursprünglich von der Protease IV aus Pseudomonas aeruginosa. rLys-C schneidet hoch-spezifisch am Carboxyl-Ende von Lysin-Resten. Die proteolytische Aktivität ist noch in denaturierenden Konditionen von bis zu 8 M Harnstoff gewahrt und optimal im pH Bereich 8 bis 9. rLys-C ist besonders geeignet für den Verdau einzelner Proteine und komplexer Protein-Gemische in Lösung und in Gel.
