Featured Applications

One Sample, One Target (one-step RT-PCR)

Promega one-step RT-PCR systems are one-tube, one-step systems that allow you to perform RT-PCR with minimum hands-on time and labor as well as decreased possibility of sample contamination. The Access RT-PCR System has each component in separate tubes, allowing you to control every step of the reaction.

The AccessQuick™ RT-PCR System saves you four pipetting steps by combining several components into a master mix.

One Sample, Many Targets (two-step RT-PCR)

Promega two-step RT-PCR systems allow you to produce multiple cDNAs by using oligo(dT)15 or random hexamer primers in the initial first-strand cDNA synthesis step from total RNA, mRNA or an in vitro transcript. This first reaction can then be divided into multiple second-strand cDNA syntheses and PCR amplifications using different gene-specific primers to generate pools of unique cDNAs. The Reverse Transcription System performs the reverse transcriptase step at a higher temperature, making it particularly useful for reverse transcription of RNA templates that exhibit significant secondary structure.

The ImProm-II™ Reverse Transcription System is excellent for reproducible analysis of rare or long messages.
