The Access and AccessQuick™(.pdf
file) RT-PCR Systems offer the quickest route for amplification of a single, specific message. Combine the RNA template and gene-specific primers with kit components and the entire reaction is ready. Both Access and AccessQuick™ Systems are one tube, one-step, coupled RT-PCR Systems. Both use the robust AMV Reverse Transcriptase and the versatile
Tfl DNA Polymerase and a unique buffer allowing maximal activity of the two enzymes in the same reaction mixture. AMV is more heat-stable than
M-MLV reverse transcriptases thus allowing RT steps at or above 42°C.
Tfl DNA Polymerase is almost
indistinquishable from Taq DNA Polymerase in reaction characteristics. Like
Taq
polymerase, Tfl DNA Polymerase leaves 3´A overhangs allowing for direct cloning of amplimers with PCR cloning vectors like the pGEM®-T Easy Vector System.
The Access System allows maximum control over the reaction conditions as each individual component is provided in separate tubes. The Access System also includes control reactions. The AccessQuick™ System offers the maximum convenience as the
Tfl DNA
Polymerase, reaction buffer, dNTPs and Mg2+ have been combined into a master mix. Both systems allow you to perform the all important no reverse transcriptase control reaction. Both systems are totally compatible with
RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor.
