Description

The PowerPlex® Matrix Standards, 310 allows Promega’s PowerPlex 16 and PowerPlex Y System to be run on the ABI PRISM® 310 Genetic Analyzer. Proper generation of a matrix file is critical to evaluate multicolor systems. The PowerPlex Matrix Standards, 310, contains matrix fragments labeled with four fluorescent dyes: Fluorescein, JOE, TMR and CXR. Once generated using the PowerPlex dye set, the matrix file is applied during the analysis of PowerPlex data to calculate and compensate for the spectral overlap between different fluorescent dye colors.

The PowerPlex Matrix Standards, 310, should be used in combination with the PowerPlex 16 and PowerPlex Y systems, and is also compatible with the ABI PRISM 377 Genetic Analyzer. Users of the PowerPlex ES system should continue to use the PowerPlex Matrix Standards, 310/377 (Cat. # DG3640).

To generate a matrix on the ABI PRISM 3100 and 3100-Avant Genetic Analyzers and Applied Biosystems 3100 and 3130xl Genetic Analyzers, use the PowerPlex Matrix Standards 3100/3130 (Cat. # DG4650).

The Matrix FL-JOE-TMR-CXR (Cat. #DG2860) has been discontinued.
